PS. the top image is not the Fw 190 cockpit but the Bf 109. Judging by the shape of the wndscreen frame and the lauout of the indicator panel with the Führertochterkompaß and Wendehorizont seen I would say it is the Gustav.

Yes indeed. I didnt want to split up the NAG pair of pictures. Could /should have made a note for that.

All images published here from the eBay sale were illegally copied from my own images and then sold. These include rare shots of the JG300 that I found in original photo albums, some of which were gifted to me as originals.

Please, I can't change it anymore, but it would be fair if you could at least include my website in this post.

FW190A-8 732047 SQ+DK Black 3 Memel Geschw Stab JG51 Memel 09-1944. Pilot Uffz. H Johne

Johne, Helmut Johannes KilledInAction (KIA) 9 February, 1945 (Magnus). His first known victory, a Soviet Il-2 on 23 February, 1943. A 2nd, a MiG-3 on 7 May, 1943. A 3rd, an Il-2 (m.H.) on 24 June, 1944. A 4th, a P-39 on 11 July, 1944. A 5th, an Il-2 (m.H.) on 4 August, 1944. A 6th, a Yak-9 on 9 August, 1944. A 7th, a Yak-7 on 18 September, 1944. Added: His death occurred in the area S of Zinten, E.Prussia (now Kornewo, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia). The VDK reports that his remains could not be recovered for transfer to Kaliningrad Sammelfriedhof, but he is commemorated in the memorial book there (D.Drury).

Merbeler, Johann KilledInAction (KIA) 26 March, 1945 in Poland (Magnus). His first known victory, a Soviet Il-2 (m.H.) on 18 July, 1944. A 2nd, a Boston III on 18 September, 1944. A 3rd, an Il-2 (m.H.) on 24 October, 1944. Magnus & JG-51 Chronik, 8 victories. Added: The VDK shows him MIA, location, Samland-Natangen, East Prussia at the material time, today, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia. He is commemorated in the Kaliningrad-Sammelfriedhof, Russia (D.Drury).

Fw190 Frankreich Toul Dec. 1943

Luftwaffe Airfields 1935-45 By Henry L. deZeng IV

General: airstrip in W France 16 km NNE of Angers, 14 km NNE of Angers
landing ground and 2 km W of the village of Tiercé. History: prepared late
spring 1944 as a fighter satellite and dispersal strip for Angers landing
ground. Surface and Dimensions: pasture or farm land measuring approx.
1000 x 730 meters (1200 x 800 yards) and very irregular in shape.
Infrastructure: none noted. Dispersal: had a South dispersal area along
hedgerows in surrounding fields off the S boundary. Defenses: unknown.
Remarks:
22 Jun 44: 16 small aircraft (probably fighters) seen parked in the South
dispersal.
Operational Units: none identified.
Station Commands: none identified.
Station Units (on various dates – not complete): none identified.

Nov 44 after the German occupation and is located 9 km NE of the old Toul –
Croix-de-Metz landing ground.
