Never seen this one before, is it an accurate painting?

It looks like a shot published in my first primer when I started attending junior school almost fifty years ago.

Thought that it was in natural metal first....

I would say the offset lithography system lost one or two colours during the printing process rather. Also look at the yellow ID markings.. the Ostfront ... ja ?

Usually , a such kind of profiles can be found in shoddy books about WW2, especially in the encyclopedia type.. and these have nothing in common with the reality.
