Does anyone have a learned opinion on which wing/tailplane camo scheme is considered the more accurate for the Fw 190D-9 red 1 of JV 44? Eduard in their 2010 1/48 dual combo give the following scheme, with wings RLM83/RLM82, same as fuselage, and in agreement with Crandall:
...while their 2021 Weekend edition has wings of RLM74/RLM75:
I'm not sure which way to jump now, but was favouring the Crandall interpretation, given he'd interviewed pilots who flew the aircraft. Just wondering what influenced Eduard's thoughts 11 years later?
