Gloster Gladiator Line Up 80 Squadron Ismalia Large Ministry Photo, BZ578 | eBay

Nice. Shows the airship mooring mast built in advance of the Imperial Airship Scheme. It was identical to the ones at Cardington, Karachi and Montreal, although the Montreal one the centre stairwell was enclosed. Ismalia's mast was destined never to be used as R.101 crashed in France on its voyage to India (Karachi - now Pakistan), having intended on stopping at Ismalia enroute. Constructed in 1926, it is believed to have been dismantled in 1939.
