Has anyone ever tried Butchers Paper for masking?

I figure with one side coated it would do a good gob masking, plus be able to adhere it to area rather easily.

Regular copy paper you can print the pattern on. Freehand makes for a lot of work. Butcher may be too heavy and stiff to handle. Doesn't need to be coated, acrylic or enamels should never be sprayed so heavy they penetrate the paper. Butcher may work well for one to one tho.

I've used paper towels to mask the space away from the tamiya tape with out any spray getting through. I've also used aluminum foil quite a bit.
