My father has just finished the Hurricane Mk II Z3687 used in laminar flow trails during 1946-1948 at
Farnborough

Here are some pictures

When we made our Bell series (Airacobras and Kingcobra) we include the Kingcobra FZ440.


The Kingcobra FZ440 and Hurricane Mk II Z3687 were both used in laminar flow trails

This is what we have on this Hurricane.
"40 SAAF Sqdn was devided into 2 Flights. The one operated up the West Coast of Italy, and the other the East Coast.
The squadron had this Hurricane as a squadron Hack, and flew between the different flights.
The ground crew know that Spitfires improved their performance at low level when they clipped the wing tips.
They thought they would give it a try on the Hurricane, but it was a disaster. It made it fly worse."
Reference: Stefaan Bouwer. He found the below mentioned information about this Hurricane when he made the research for the book SAAF at war.

Although there are at least 1 Hurricane Mk I and 8 more Hurricanes Mk IIB to be build the following batch will include the following 4 Hurricane Mk II C.

56) Hurricane Mk IIC A LD116 - 351 (Yug) Sqn RAF – Libya - Summer 1944
57) Hurricane Mk IIC X KW935 – 11 Sqn – Cholavram

I am trying to collect all WW2 aircraft, and i hope that in my life time many of them will be finished...but this is...this is much better approach.

This growing collection is part of Hawkers history in miniature.

I am looking forward to see other for me many unknown variants of Hurricane.

I am trying to collect all WW2 aircraft, and i hope that in my life time many of them will be finished....

Very interesting project. Just one type of each aircraft or also with the different version, schemes markings, etc.

This growing collection is part of Hawkers history in miniature.

Due to our project we will deal with the others Hawker's aircrafts in the future (I don't know when). Actually my father already made the Hawker Typhoon, Tempest, Tornado, Sea Fury and Fury series. (see below).

Just to give you an idea of our collection, our aim is to model all the aircraft types that flew with the Royal Air Force, the Fleet Air Arm and all the Commonwealth in the time frame between 1935 and 1947, in all major versions, markings, schemes colours camouflage, prototypes, field modifications, etc. And to include also Lend-Lease and captured enemy types.
