I found this 20mm round about 40 years ago in a field near Dueren, Germany. I am hoping someone could help me identify it.
On the nose, there is the following: AZ LOS DN-4-9
On the body is: 20K DM48 DN-7-9
Thanks.

AZ = Aufschlagzünder (Impact Fuse)
LOS = production or order lot
DM = deutsche Munition (German Ammunition), meaning it is most likely a post-war round.
Beyond that, I have no further information.
Thank you for that information. That is far more than I have been able to find. Could you send me the link or the reference for that information?
Also, since there is an "AZ" on the fuse, does that mean I have an HE round sitting on my desk?!?

It may not be a bad idea to contact somebody like Tony Williams (CANNON, MACHINE GUNS AND AMMUNITION), the forum he runs (Delphi Forums Login), or local military museums and collectors.

This what I received from the Military Guns and Ammunition forum:
DM 48 is the designation for a target practice / tracer loading of the 20 x 139 Hispano HS 820 / Rheinmetall Rh 202 AA (mostly) guns. It consists of the shell body of a DM 81 HE-T inert filled, with a dummy fuze and a red tracer.
