Awesome pictures. My mother was 5 years old living in New Jersey on the say it crashed and saw it fly overhead. The sight of a shadow that large on the ground made a lasting impression on her. She had never seen anything that large in the air before that day.
 
Somewhere we have a photo of my father waiting to go on the Hindenburg. Its quite odd there are these few people having a drink at a table with this huge hanger behind them. All they are little dots in a corner
 
Great pixs! A guy from my hometown also saw her flying overhead as a young boy, very elegant. Also $1224 was a boatload of money back in 1937!
It's a shame George C Scott couldn't save her...

I don't believe that post 11 shows the dining room, rather a lounge on the promenade deck.

The caption is slightly misleading. LZ 120 was the passenger airship the Bodensee and first flew in August 1919. If the location of the hangar in this picture is accurate and that is L 30 in the background, then the incomplete airship is not LZ 120. That ship was in airline service with DELAG by then and was handed to the Italians as reparation in 1921.

L 30 was dismantled in 1920 and going on appearance of the ship in the background and its propeller mounted to an out rigger on the hull side, that's probably L 30. It was an R Class 'Super Zeppelin', the first of which flew in early 1916. The incomplete ship is being dismantled rather than undergoing construction. When airships were being constructed, the structural ring frames were built as a whole and suspended from the ceiling of the shed, then the longitudinals were attached to secure the frame. That ship looks like it's being broken up and considering L 30's presence, that is definitely what's happening here.
