I love Spanish planes, and the Hispano Aviacion truely reflects that.



My own username is NATO language for HA200, which is the first jet ever to be built in Spain. It was a trainer and fighter.
 
From the looks of the other planes having a longer string of letters, I would say it is the plane's nickname. And is it MAPI or HAPI?
 
MAPI. No its not it's nickname. It's Buchon. But I think Gekho knows better than me.... ;)

Yeah I get that, but the other planes have different lettering (and number of letters). I agree with your comment about Gekho. I certainly can't compete with his knowledge.

Obviously the nickname of the pilot... Everybody knows Buchon it´s the name of the fighter... ;)
