tae 1976 yes his name is Popkov ,my Typo mistake and I don't know how to fix it ,and as Far as The Stars on the Wings you could be right ,I was Following the Directions on the " Printscale Decals " sheet and they provide the Top Main Wing Stars ,I will do more research on this and if it proves true I will omit the Top Wing Stars on my Next La-5/7 which I still Have 1 of Each

tae let's see some of your models

Magnificent detail, really superb. The cockpit detail is unbelievable.
Regarding the red cannon priming handles, were those similar in function to the charging handles for the .50cal MGs in a P-39?
Pilots complained of the effort and force required to charge those .50s.
I can't imagine how strong those Russian pilots had to be to charge two 20mm cannon!
May I ask, how long did it take you to complete this project? Again, it is magnificent.

Well, your four month project yielded fantastic results.
I saw a youtube video about the 20mm Oerlikon (fairly recent using a deck mounted restored version) and the guy in the video said he couldn't begin to cock that gun by hand. It had a cord that hooked to the charging handle and he tipped the gun upright in it's mount and that cocked the gun.
That must have been a bear to get ready to fire in an La-5.
Again, great modeling job.

I really liked the color of your plane, the inside of the cokpit, it looks like it has the signature of " the master´s hand "

Saludos
