The StuG III were excellent armoured vehicles and were under the control of the Heer Artillery. The Germans could produce 4 StuG III for the cost of one Tiger. While the sexy Tiger I, II, and Panthers got all the press the little StuGs went about the job of killing enemy tanks and by war's end had accounted for more kills than all the Tigers and Panthers put together.
I've never done a resin but here are my two an Ausf. C model with the short 7.5 cm Kanone L/24 for firing HE rounds. The upgraded Ausf. G had the Schurzen to protect against anti-tank rockets and the larger 7.5 cm StuK 40 L/43, the commanders cupola with periscopes, and a Maschinengewehr 34 for close-in protection . The high velocity rounds could defeat the armour of most Soviet tanks.
