Entirely agree but spare a thought, too, for the poor sods in Malaya who ended up enduring years in Japanese POW camps. First act of aggression by Japan against the Western Powers was the shooting down of a RAF Catalina off Malaya on 6 Dec 41 (PH time). To all those who suffered the hell of the war in the Far East, my slowest and most respectful salute!
