Hello everyone, I am new here. This is my first post. A few years ago a friend gave me an APU engine which his grandfather brought back from Japan when the war ended. He told me that this engine came out of a Betty bomber, and that it used to drive a generator on the airplane. Although I have not had it running, he told me that his grandfather used to run it from time to time. I don't know much about it other than it turns over freely and has compression. I don't dare attempt to start it, because I don't want to risk damaging it. There is a nameplate on it, but it is in Japanese and I cannot read it. I am wondering if anyone might have any information about this engine. I am going to try to include some photos with this post. If I have posted this in the wrong place, please accept my apologies and move the post to where it belongs. Thank you in advance for any information.

Thank you so much for the translations. I think I am going to attempt to sell this APU engine. Does anyone have any contact information as to who I might contact in regards to selling this engine? I don't know if there are any groups that are currently restoring a Betty Bomber that might be interested, or if there are any museums that might be interested. Maybe a private collector? Any leads would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

mjfur, thank you for suggesting this museum as a possible contact. I explored their website, and unfortunately there is no contact email address provided.

What a beautiful artifact!
Certainly do not run it , I doubt more than a handful exist.
I suspect it burns 5 kg per hour per hour not 5 grams.
I hope it finds a good home.
