There were three additional Ju 287 prototypes that were planned, Ju 287 V4, Ju 287 V5, and Ju 287 V6 (none were completed). V5 and V6 were to be armed Ju 287 prototypes with a suite of operation equipment. Horst Lommel mentions in his 2004 book on the Junkers Ju 287 that V4 was 60 percent complete when WW2 ended.
