We just watched the Last Rifleman on Amazon Prime.

The Great Escaper will finally be available in the US on Masterpiece Theater at the end of November.

The Great Escaper on MASTERPIECE on PBS

Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson star in the true story of Bernard Jordan's escape from his care home to join fellow veterans in honoring fallen comrades. #GreatEscaperPBS

Both good films with great leading actors, as I understand it The Great Escaper is reportedly the more accurate of the two but I liked The last Rifleman just a bit more.

I saw a movie with the same title starring Steve McQueen which is supposedly fact-based. But it was tough on the escapees.
