Great aircraft. This is going to become commonplace among P-3 operators round the world soon. The RAAF and RNZAF have both ordered the P-8 to replace their P-3s.

I've spent a great portion of my adult life around her. Built them and worked on the program 1980 - 1993, then worked on them in the USNR 1996 - 2002.

I photographed this P-3A in 1963 when it came thru Kwajalein. It was the FIRST P-3 to enter the Pacific fleet and was making its initial appearance in the area. I believe that it was based a NAS Moffett Field, CA.
