I'm surprised this has not been posted/discussed before. I remember being quite surprised at how much static charge helo blades would develop even in the humidity. Helo winches with their steel cables were excellent zappers unless allowed to touch ground first. FNGs were always encouraged to grab the cable before it touched. Humor!!
