Lights in 1/35....

Just toying with some ideas, if they're possible....

How would best light these up?

What size are the pieces for real?

It would be better to measure these area you want to light up. Judging by these pics above I would say small LEDs could be used.

Those in the first pic are about 1,9 mm and the lightbulb is about 2,2 mm....

So LEDs of 2mm diameter are needed.

A such part can be copied with a clear resin for instance. It will cause it looking like being of glass.

You may use either the clear epoxy resin or acrylate. The acrylate ones are of great transparency especially if polished.

Also the clear polymer resin could be useful like that one below..

The 1.5 volt "Grain of Wheat" incandescent light bulbs come as small as 1mm. Check Ebay

Yes, that's a good idea too. However I would be a little bit careful of these bulbs. Although these are for 1.5V , the heat can be generated by a such bulb what can melt the plastic

I thought about that but at 1mm they'd be ideal for the rear tail lights and 1.5 volts should not generate much in the way of heat. In addition didn't think he'd have them running continuously. Generally they are used to light N-gauge RR cars also plastic.

But the plastic of the N-gauge RR in cars isn't the polystyrene. I think that the heat generated depends on the amperage conveying by the bulb.
