In my castle....
Just toying with some ideas, if they're possible....

How would best light these up?

It would be better to measure these area you want to light up. Judging by these pics above I would say small LEDs could be used.
 
That's the reason the drill bits were invented. :lol:
 
Yes, that's a good idea too. However I would be a little bit careful of these bulbs. Although these are for 1.5V , the heat can be generated by a such bulb what can melt the plastic
 
I thought about that but at 1mm they'd be ideal for the rear tail lights and 1.5 volts should not generate much in the way of heat. In addition didn't think he'd have them running continuously. Generally they are used to light N-gauge RR cars also plastic.
 
But the plastic of the N-gauge RR in cars isn't the polystyrene. I think that the heat generated depends on the amperage conveying by the bulb.
