Lockheed C-69-LO 43-10310 (MSN 049-1962) Subsequently registered N86520, painted in both TWA and PAA livery named "Clipper America".
Later to Intercontinental Airlines as N38936. Crashed at Burbank, CA Jan 22, 1953. Crew of 8 escaped unhurt, but aircraft was quickly enveloped by flames.

Lockheed C-69-LO Constellation 43-10309 (L-049 NX25600) MSN 049-1961/1962. Model 049-46-10. Ordered by TWA but completed for USAAF. 10309 (MSN 049-1961) carried civil test registration of NX25600. first flight Jan 19, 1943. Delivered to Wright Field flown by Howard Hughes and Jack Frye. Converted to XC-69E Model 049-39-10 with P&W R-2800
engines. Converted back with Double Cyclone engines. Flown by Howard Hughes and TWA President Jack Frye from Burbank, CA to Washington, DC Apr 17, 1944 in an unofficial record of 6 hours, 58 min. Sold to Hughes Aircraft Co after the war as NX67900, repurchased by Lockheed May 1, 1950 and reregistered NC25600 . Converted to prototype L.1049 Super Constellation summer 1950 as Model 049S MSN 19618 and registered NX6700. During 1952, converted to aerodynamic test vehicle for Navy early warning Super Constellation. Tested with Allison YT-56 turboprop engine fitted in no. 4 position. Purchased by California Airmotive Dec 1958 for spares and broken up.
