Mega Hobby clearance starting

Mega Hobby announced last year that in 2026 they would be closing shop. They have started nice discounts on kits.

Anyone have experience with the Gloster E28 by Special Hobby?

I waited until the evening to put an order in, and the E28 shows out of stock! This morning prices are up for other kits. Maybe it was a flash sale. I had the E28 and an F-86 in my shopping cart, went to order , the E28 was out of stock, and F-86 back to regular price.

Anyone have experience with the Gloster E28 by Special Hobby?

I have one in my "waiting to be finished" pile. It's quite a nice kit but needs some corrections to the undercarriage, which is too long and stalky-looking, and the bays themselves in the inner wing root area. These changes also impose modifications to the undercarriage doors.

The other challenging area is the air intake which lacks the horizontal strakes clearly visible on the original airframe.
