That's a great film, but it's of Me262 V3 (PC+UC) during it's testing. V3 was the first to fly solely under jet power (in 1942).

Me262 V1 (PC+UA) had the Jumo210 engine in it's nose for it's flight trials in 1941 and retained the 210 in the nose during testing of the BMW003 engines.

That the Jumo210 was installed during first jet powered take off is a myth. The first take off in primary sources (Flugbericht Nr. 692/12 dated march, 30th, 1942) does not mention the Jumo210, despite test protocols been serious about explicit mentioning of all engine parameters. Further, no compressor stall is mentioned for the BMW P3302v2 and -v10 engines, This flight appears to have been carried out solely on jet power.

Now I can see that the article was not in the 'FlugRevue' magazine, but in 'Klassiker der Luftfahrt'.

Found it now in my files. It was in KdL #1 of 2014.
