Prolific yes, but in my experience, none too helpful. When I was writing my first book I asked him if he'd loan some photographs and he did anything he could to avoid it.

Fortunately I met Bruce Robertson around the same time and found a far better resource and a genuinely helpful individual.

Unfortunately there are anally retentive Richards in every country that believe that everything they hold is secret and who want to control it.

EDIT: And when they die all their stuff invariably goes to the tip and is lost forever.
