MiG-23 Crashes At Michigan Air Show, Crew Ejected

The only flying MiG-23 in North America went down this afternoon at the Thunder Over Michigan air show, both crew ejected.

It sounds like it happened over the lake about 2 miles from my house! I was in NY state the last few weeks. Glad the crew made it out safely, and sounds like no one was injured on the ground! Some cars destroyed in the parking lot of the apartment complex the MiG came down in. Sound like everyone was very fortunate this time!

Looks like it happened over Belleville Lake, I wasn't sure if it was Belleville or Ford Lake it occurred over. Very close to my house. Image for the linked artical

I was sent some picture I had not seen before one taken by a resident of the Lakes apartments just before impact. Remarkable no one was seriously injured.
