Hi Guys
I just joined the comunty. I am from Italy, leaving on the shores of Lake Como. I am 64 and I am modeling, in a way or another, since I was a kid. My modelling is in 1/72 scale, I have no room to stock bigger scale, and i am particularly interested in WWII US Army and Navy aircrafats. This interests is spread to Korean war pistons aircrafts and the first choppers.
I a found in the aviation history and development .
My second hobby is sailing, cruising and racing; I am also member of my national autority federation in the ranks of Race Officer as Judge
Thank you

Jim beat me to it! You live in a beautiful part of the world, one that I was due to visit this last summer if it weren't for some weird virus. Welcome aboard!

Welcome Mike, I spent three great years in Northern Italy and sometimes was paid to measure flanges on the shore of Lake Como, at a little place called Dervio. happy days.

Welcome aboard, Skipper! You'll be in good hands here. What class of boats do you race? I own the only Starwind 22 on the lake, so no class racing here.

Many thanks to everyone.
I have a 12' international class gaff riged it is a 3.66 meter. I sail and race on every boat I am invited.
I wish to every one all the best for this horrible period.
Modelling will help us to stay calm and safe

Welcome aboard,

This forum is predominantly devoted to WWII aviation, but there's people who know quite a lot about other eras out of a generalized interest (such as myself), or others who appear to have served in the post-war period.

Outside of aviation, the forum's is highly food-centric, particularly in terms of the love of bacon, other cured, salted meats, various types of cheese, and quite a number are beer aficionados. Chocolate is probably also well-enjoyed and received as well.
