minicraft 1/48 P-38 j any good ?

has any one built or know anything about the minicraft P-38 j in 1/48 scale ?
i've got one on my list to buy next week when the model shop starts deliveries again

If this is the kit, it looks pretty good!

I've got an Academy/Minicraft 'E' and it looks a fine kit in the box.

You mention Revell...Revell could be the old Monogram kit OR a Hasegawa reboxing? You would need to check kit numbers and reviews to know what you are getting!

Far as I know Karl, this kit is the same as Academy, in the days when they were Academy Minicraft. If it is, then it's an excellent kit, far superior to the old Revell (ex Monograma) version. It's the one i built, which I think you saw. Can reccomend it mate, beaut mouldings and detail.

Dont know if this helps or not, but I built this kit a couple years ago as one of my first models...I remember the canopy was a bit fiddly and there was some fit problems that required alot of filler. Needless to say it was thrown out in the end.
