National camo style?

I've noticed a variety of styles, from splotches to tigerstripe. Do certain nations tend to favor one kind or another? Is it a function of where the aircraft will (does) operate? Is it variable by era? (That last seems likely, as camo is better & better understood with time.) I also imagine the use the aircraft will be put to matters.

I know of no nation that adopted a national scheme. Schemes were developed and fielded by the service.
