I am with the South Australian Aviation Museum History Group and we are trying to identify the aviator in the image. Can anyone identify the aircraft please? Number on the aircraft appears to be M? 4406

Not the Ansaldo but the Martinsyde G.100 or G.102 Elephant, a single-seat fighter-scout, bomber and reconnaissance biplane ...
