Nephew wants to study to become a nuclear engineer

He's a bright lad and intrnds to go to school in America where he lives. He lives in a state of Arizona but says he wants to attend university on the western side of the states.

So what advice should I pass on?

As far as schools on the West Coast, I would say my alma mater, UC Berkeley, or Stanford would probably be top choices. There are numerous publications that deal with the strength of undergraduate programs in many fields.
