Newbie says hi and a quick Beaufighter question

That all makes much more sense .... and looks a lot better than the bright copper i have seen suggested elsewhere ...

Here's some Aussie Beaufighter pics in colour. The collector rings were imported from the UK as a unit. It's possible these examples have been painted 'stove black', but left untreated they appear dark metallic grey with a slight bronze look like the Gladiator photo posted earlier.

Thanks guys , i am much happier thinking its nearer gun metal with some red tones than a copper kettle colour
