Check out this picture (on the link below), and others along the string, that appear to show the same aircraft, albeit in a severly damaged state. Am I seeing a 4 engined He 177 (He 277?) and not the one the French had after the war? This one appears to be a Luftwaffe bird in the Czech lands.
What do you think. It's new to me... Other than the French one, line drawings and heavily re-touched photos.
what you see is burnt out remains of the He177V101 (WNr.5550 coded NE+OD) were found at Cheb in Czechoslovakia. By this time the aircraft had been fitted, by Flugzeugewerke Eger, with four Jumo's It is resting on the remains of a burned Kompensierwaage (compass swing).
