I search the ORB April 24, 1941. Hampden AD834. Coded VN-?.
Gardening Mission. Loss at Loudeac.

Thank you for your answers. I got the ORB 24/04.

My Grandfather was on this flight, Navigator J E Martin.Gardening mission LaRochelle unable to hit target due to poor visibility, diverted to L'orient, munitions laid. Engine failure. Bailout at approx 2000 ft Broke his leg on landing, taken POW. 2 crew Killed on impact, buried locally I believe, which must have been heartbreaking for my Grandfather. Pilot evaded capture but was lost on a rescue mission later in the war.
