May 27,1919 Lt. James Krull U.S. Army Aircorps makes first landing and takes of from Leidig Meadow in Yosemite Valley. For anyone familiar with Yosemite, Leidig Meadow is close to Yosemite Lodge. Spent many happy hours in the meadow when I lived there in 1971 but didn't know about this history until now.
