Fuji Heavy Industries challenges the SUBARU series in the 1950s.
The wheel was so small that it could be easily locked with a small stone.
My classmate did it for his teacher's Subaru when the teacher was in a hurry for going home.

That looks like it would have been a fun vehicle.

At one stage I had a Fiat 500 and that went places that many four wheel drives could not. At another I had a Suzuki Brute. Same thing. Both were light enough you could lift one set of wheels at a time off the ground if necessary and of coarse they were shorter and narrower than any 4WD which also helped. Fun vehicles for off roading and bush bashing and sure opened a few eyes when you showed up in an area that the big 4WD guys could not get to.
