Bell P 39-Airacobra Technicians installing a Trimetrogon Camera ASBIZ
View attachment 851316

I very much doubt that for a number of reasons. The first is the size of such an installation and it will not fit in the nose of a P-39. Secondly one of the three cameras shoots straight down which means all that it would see is the driveshaft, the retracted nose gear and the closed gear doors. Thirdly the cameras need to be accessible in flight to change magazines.

This is a B-17 installation forward of the tail gear and tail plane and as you can see this takes up a lot of room and the spare magazines are stored forward of the cameras.

B-25 History Project has three photos of a B-25 with Trimetrogon Cameras fitted.
