Interesting or odd that they arrived with invasion stripes.
The lower invasion stripes disappeared in late December from BAD2. You can tell that all the P-51D/Ks delivered at Duxford from BAD2 were the same, uniform invasion stripes. Mustangs delivered from other sources like another Fighter group P-51B had more variation - and weathering.
