I see a Vickers Vincent (or possibly Wildebeeste?), an Airspeed Oxford, a Hawker Hart (or Hind), a De Havilland Tiger Moth, and a Hawker Tomtit. Is the dismantled aircraft on the left edge of the photo a Baffin? Not sure.

August 19, 1945: B-17F serial 42-6089 takes a dip into the L. A. River after engine failure during takeoff at Burbank. This plane never saw combat; it flew training missions from Biggs Field near El Paso, TX. All crew members survived with minor injuries.

USS Ranger, USS Lexington and USS Saratoga in an exercise the almost duplicated the upcoming Japanese carrier attack on the islands in 12/41.
