Just FYI, the Planes of Fame Curtiss P-47G Thunderbolt is back up and running after about a year and half of engine, propeller, and general freshening up. It was out today running up and should be flying again VERY shortly.

The G was a razorback D built by Curtiss. By rights (!) it shoulda been a P-47D-CU
But wasn't.
P-51Bs and Cs were near identical, built in California and Texas.

Sometimes it's remarkable that we won the war.
