I'm looking at a Tamiya Gloster Meteor kit on ebay, shipping from Canada. With all the issues recently, has anyone purchased recently and seen tariffs applied to their purchase? Looks like a good deal for our Canadian friends. fubar57
I was wondering if I'm bidding against you

Not bidding on that. I get all my kits from Europe or Asia as shipping from the US is, for the most part, outrageous, even before tariffs. I could ship a 1:48 single engine kit to the US for under 20$ yet coming this way it's 40-50$ or more. I quite buying from US hobby shops as well about 15 years ago
Postage/Shipping in the US is very high, one reason I stopped selling on ebay. Ten + years ago, it was easy to sell on eBay, and postage was reasonable, I could either absorb it or pass on to buyer.
Have you ever wondered why it can cost more to have something shipped from the U.S. compared to China, even though the United States is right next door? The answer dates all the way back to 1874 and the creation of the Universal Postal Union.
