Does it have to be a legit plane ? I have a Me 262 kit that looks nothing like the real deal and also have a Me 509 kit. Been looking for an excuse to build them. My rule of thumb with Luftwaffe planes, if it flew and there's a kit I'll do it. Not really into the Luft 46 stuff.

If the box says Me262 then it is a kit regardless of how bad it may be. I'm not a fan of the "egg" planes and would defer to the forum's elder statesmen on whether that is allowed or not. My thought is we are an Aircraft forum, and it should be true to the original. I know that old kits can be wildly inaccurate, and I decided long ago that they were not worth the effort to build.

For my part, I don't see any problem, it's a plane from your stash, so it could be done, as far as I can see.

Both these kits were given to me. The Me 262 3seater I've never seen before anywhere including on paper. The Me 509 I have seen it on paper and I think I saw a mock up of it, not sure.

Never seen that 3 seat 262 myself Graham, but have heard of the Me 509. A quick check with Uncle Google shows the project was cancelled, along with the Me 309 on which it was based, but that the Japanese made a version of it, the Yokosuka R2Y Keiun, which suffered from engine overheating.
