Is the KC-97 in Artic colors a permanent display or did it fly in for the show?
If you listen to the museum, it is under restoration. I have been going to this show for 4 years now and the only changes I can see is there is more bird turd on the airframe. I have a funny feeling she is a permanent ground pounder. The museum puts every nickel into the P-61 project. They have nothing that is currently airworthy, B-25, SNJ, Avenger, PT-22, Val replica and more, all out of current airworthiness and they have no pilots that I am aware of that are type rated for any of their stuff. I stand to be corrected but I am pretty sure what I have said is correct. Been this way for about 5 years.

Sad really. Another museum of old guys who refuse to change with the times and as a result aircraft are no longer flying.

Cheers,

Jeff

Well, that's sad to hear. In 2023 they acquired the Cessna Bobcat across the runway from me on my airpark near Seattle. There was a team here then working on it, but they couldn't get it done before the weather made mountain crossings sketchy. Came back last year for a bit, but the plane is still here.
