Hi all,
I am looking for my Dad's Torpedo Squadron unit. He maintained he flew off WASP CV-18 as a turret gunner on TBF/M's. Although he always said he was with VT-5, I think he is mistaken. I know he was on WASP because he told me all about the bomb that hit on March 19, 1945. He just missed being in the Mission Ready Room as they had switched sweep schedules that morning! Anyway, I sure would like a confirmation. I think he was on WASP but the Torpedo Group had to be CVG-86.
Any confirmation would be greatly appreciated!
