So you ordered a needle and you got the 3 models as a gift/for free? Where did you get that deal?

[javlin]

I got both kits including shipping from Japan for cheaper than the F4 stateside with shipping.

Went to purchase some LED micro lights, almost pin-head lights. Wanted red, green and warm white with a couple of flashes boards. US$33 with discount. Pushed through to purchase and with postage US$57........................................."F" off.

[A4K]

Yep. Postage almost always costs more (sometimes atleast twice more-) than the product when shipping to Ireland too. Add to that import duties - usually atleast €3-9 + €4.50 post office stamping fee! Many times I have also said 'F*** off'.

[Viking1066]

Had to get one of these. I let the last one get away.

[SaparotRob]

The cover art confused me until I read the caption on the box.
Was this a "liberated" bird?

Yes sir. Flown to them by a defector fleeing Soviet tyranny.

I really wanted to build "Yellow 63" but Colin said it was a myth. I do have the decals and conversions though

[Viking1066]

I wanted to build a Ki-61 with the Green Shamrock, but according to Japanese sources is something that was done by American troops after the war. So, I decided to go in a different direction with that.
