Well....it does have taken me a wee while to get all this.... Btw, I just found that I have the Tally-Ho! 24'' and 30'' sky code letters and serials, which, looking at those coming with the Mosquito seem to be the right size...
Maybe any of you pro's can confirm that...?

Hey having only recently recommitted to modeling, I had never purchased nor made a Pro Modeler kit before, HOLY CRUMB!!! What a nice kit!!

Not only does it include incredible detail, but the instructions are superb. I can't vouch for accuracy of the Fw-190/A-8 kit, but the instructions include detailed cockpit, main gear, rear wheel and pitot probe pics with notes on colors and variations. Man. I bought this for my my 9yo? I gotta get one! Not only is there a pic of the instrument panel, but they point out colors of the instrument panel, instrument markings and outter instrument ring colors for goodness sake. Keep in mind this is a 1/72nd kit and instrument panel is less than 0.5"x0.5"!!

Where have these kits been all my life! Hope it goes together as good as the kit details. Any insights?

Hey Matt, you got some great bargains there! $10 each? That's less than £6 in the U.K.!! I've heard good things about the Herc, and the FW190 is supposed to be good also. Sorry, can't give any tips for the '190, these days, 1/72nd is a tad too small for me to handle!
Jan, I think all you need now is a hangar and a work force, as it seems you've got enough kit and tools for an aircraft factory!
As for primer for the etch etc, Wayne will be the one for that, as I have limited experience of etch. But, when I have used it, a quick rub over with fine wet and dry, then a coat of enamel, normally matt light grey, has done the trick.
Looking forward to seeing the various builds guys.

pro modeller kits are great.

I picked up a 1/48 F-84 Thunderjet dirt cheap. Came with photo etched seat harness and access ladder. Awesome decals too.

Just a thought here....would it be a good idea to buy a primer for the etch, before painting the plastic/etch parts?

I've used just my normal paints on etch stuff either before or after fitting, once in place you are not going to touch it further....and had no issues other than a touch up now and then...

However some rub it down with sandpaper as Terry does, some specific primer....each to his own really...

heres what showed up in the mail on friday, my A-6 Intruders, the KA-6D tanker variant and the electronic warfare variant, the EA-6A.

And a nice surprise was that they both came with Eduard masking kits!

These masking sets are intended for Italeri kits but mine are Fujimi kits. I'm assuming that since that they are both 1/72 the masks will do just fine but additonal is also appreciated! Also just to be curious how much would one of these masking sets would retail for?

Nice buys Jason!....the mask sets vary, say 6-10 bucks depending on source.

I picked up a couple of sets of Ezy masks the other day for $5.50 each, both have 2 sets of masks....Bf109 F's and G's

Yeah, yeah.....I know! But after reading about the BOAC flights with Mosquitos between Leuchars and Stockholm, I thought that it would be an interesting thing to do in the future, so.....

Shows the 1/72 sheet, since it wasn't any pictures of the 1/48 one....
