Next Monday 2 of march, is my birthday and between my wife and cousin one of my friends I have given this, but has not yet come commissioned and paid for this.

 
I have that exact kit in the stash Wayne along with an aftermarket wood deck. Haven't cut any sprues yet.

Glenn, it's not crazy big. About 21 inches long.

That's a great price on those Hasegawa kits ! In the UK, they're stupid prices - even 'fighter size' 1/72nd scale Hasegawa kits can be around £30, roughly $45 US !!

Ouch! Terry that's bloody highway robbery. What is it with Hasegawa? I got these out of Japan from Hobby Link. Could it be distributors in Europe marking them up?
I think my shipping was like 1,300 yen for both which is like US$12. Both were on sale.

Yep, it's really annoying. Hasegawa will release an old kit, with a new decal sheet, that was originally, say, £10 just a few years ago, but is now £30. The excuse used to be the price of oil - but even before the reduction in oil prices, the production of plastics did not treble in price, and the mould tools were already in existence, and probably paid for by the initial sales of the kit(s) concerned.
And the same company, with some others getting close, will release a new kit at a staggeringly high price, whereas Revell, for example, can release an equally detailed, complex or quality kit, at a quarter of the price.
 
Just purchased this Roden kit



First look on what's in the box isn't too bad. There is also an Hispano-Suize engine in plastic.

When I will eventually put my hand on this kit, I will try to make an Italian bird.
