Howdy all.
So there I was, just finishing off another batch of maple syrup when the phone rings. It is an old friend of mine from my policing days. He proceeds to tell me he is getting ready to move and needs to downsize his collection of polystyrene and wants to know if I am interested in getting any of his stuff. This is the same fella who gave me 10 kits or so about a year ago. He is preparing to sell his collection to a store nearby, less a few keepers. I hop in the car and head on over. I have seen his collection before and know he doesn't have too much WWII stuff as he is a big jets guy but I know he has a few. Here is what I picked from his stuff.
$100.00 Canadian was what I paid for the lot. He was happy and so was I.
Most of the kits were sealed and I have had a chance to go through all of them. New decals will be required for some of the kits. I am hoping to use the decals from the 101 kit and build it as the box top shows. These jets represent my first non WWII jets in the stash and I look forward to getting at them at some point in the future.
The only fly in the ointment so to speak was the front windscreen from the Monogram Corsair is missing. I am willing to pay someone for a suitable replacement if they should happen to have an appropriate piece in their extra bits box.
