In the written materials I have seen online, the Crecy does not get such a rousing report. Much more about how it was not ready and would be unlikely to be ready for use. Cheering to see that sleeve valves and gasoline direct injection 2 stroke did seem to be solvable in the 1940's. Currently reed valve/piston port gasoline direct injection can be found on consumer grade snowmobiles and outboard small boat engines.

I enjoyed that, not that it is important but a knowledgeable chap like that really should work out the difference between radials & rotaries & Ju88s & 87s. A good watch nonetheless.
