gents,

once again i must ask the experts for help. :)

am looking for a clear picture or drawings of a unique over and under RP3 installation as used by beaufighters during the malayan emergency (operation firedog).

i've scoured both the SAM books on the beaufighter and the mossie and have come up with nothing, except a color profile that hints at this rail system (the profile of Beaufighter TF Mk.X RD815 45 SQN).

it has been discussed on other sites as well but have not gotten a clear image of what this looked like. i'm also curious as to why this was used over the standard four rail system typical of tiffies, beaus, mossies, etc.

hope some light can be shed on this matter.

thanks!

here is the rail in question. photo from the IWM, fair use.
