My Grandpa just passed away on Christmas, and I was feeling nostalgic. I Googled the name of the plane he flew in WWII, and that brought me to this post. In the picture you posted of the men in font of the Pic-A-Dilly the tall one on the left is my Grandpa! I wonder, is he the pilot that called you and talked to you about your Grandfather? If you would like to give me your info I can get you in touch with my Grandmother or Mother and they may be able to get you some more info.
