Tamiya P-51 weapons package?

Hi all,

been a lurker for a few days now have a question ..

I have recently purchased the Tamiya 1:48 North American P-51 mustang. Must say it looks a very nice kit out of the box.

Are there any after market missile/weapons for this kit? Or is it a case of making my own?? Looked everywhere online but not run across anything yet

There are a couple of companies producing generic bombs and missiles in resin - depending what you want of course. If in the ETO, with 8th USAAF, then you're pretty much limited to 500lb bombs, if PTO, then perhaps HVARs. I think these are also included in the Hasegawa aircraft weapons set. A look at Hannat's web-site might find something.

Thanks for the advice Airframes.

Had a look on Hanants but couldn't find an appropriate Hasegawa weapons set.

What I have found on fleabay are these:

Eduard Brassin 1/48 EDB648061 Resin US HVAR rockets | eBay
Eduard Brassin 1/48 EDB648086 US 250lb Bombs (WW2/Korea) | eBay

I think that either of these would do the job ...

Have another look at Hannant's - there's pages of bombs and other ordnance. In the search boxes, just key in 'Bombs', or 'Rockets' or whatever, and put in the scale, 1/48th, then hit search.
