I cannot write a full review of this book yet, as I just started it. But two chapters in and I cannot put the book down. The prekude alone sucked me in.
The book details the post war years of 1945 to 1955 in Germany. It deals with the rebuilding, the economic and cultural changes, and even the social lives and conditions of life in the immediate post war years.
Looks interesting. I read "Postwar: A History of Europe since 1945" by Tony Judt which goes into a lot of academic detail. He uses words I never knew existed.
